THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP

The therapist will conduct themselves at all times in accordance with their professional status, and will provide a service to you in those areas in which they have trained and demonstrated competence, however there may be occasions where the therapist may need to refer you on to another more suitable therapist who might reasonably be expected to offer suitable treatment, or advise you to seek medical or other appropriate advice. The therapist will take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of both you the client and any person who may be accompanying you, the therapist has full professional indemnity insurance. The therapy will involve hypnosis, which is a state of heightened awareness, in which you will be fully aware of what is taking place, you will not be made to do anything that you do not want to do. The therapist may use different types of therapy within hypnosis, such as suggestion therapy, which is used for simple problems such as smoking or analytical therapy, which involves searching, discovering and then removing the source of the problem. Suggestion therapy typically takes between one to four sessions and analytical therapy takes an average of twelve sessions. During the course of the therapy you must take responsibility for yourself, and divulge all information required to the therapist, the therapist will help you to resolve your concerns. You may experience emotional volatility during emotional therapy. No cure is guaranteed. The therapist will discuss with you at the beginning of treatment about the predicted length of treatment and establish goals that both you and the therapist are happy with. These will be continually reviewed during the course of treatment. The therapist will terminate treatment at the earliest moment consistent with the good care of yourself.
